Back, and growing!

Hello Friends!

Well, it's been a while since we have blogged but we are back, and bigger! So far, our journey to provide brands for people who love Moto or any other sport involving wheels, speed and various degree's of danger, has been an interesting one.

As mentioned before, The folk here at MoreCore are true to the cause. We are true fans of our industry with a few of us stemming from a dirtbiking culture. We love the industry and want to share the passion with like-minded people, so this project means everything to us. When you start something from almost nothing you get a massive sense of achievement when you see yourself grow and provide a service your customer's enjoy. That is why we love doing this. Since launching in September 2011, we have gone from housing our three core brands (Alpinestars, Metal Mulisha and Fox Racing) to housing seven extra big hitters.

Ladies and Gentleman, please allow us to introduce the brands new to the MoreCore family.

Nike 6.0

Nike was formed in 1964 by the Head coach of University of Oregon track coach Bill Bowerman and one of his teams runners, Phil Knight. Originally Nike operated under the name Blue Ribbon Sports before adopting it's current name in 1971. Since the beginning Nike has developed innovative solutions for footwear that has revolutionized the market. Major innovations include the Waffle sole, Air Max cushioning, Nike Shox, and Nike ID just to name a few. Nike has created sub brands throughout the years to provide further innovative solutions to more specific markets. The 6.0 sub brand is one of those brands created to target the world of actions sports. Some of their other sub brands include Nike NYX and Nike SB, which specialize in skateboarding shoes. Nike 6.0 have taken their vast amount of technology and entered into the world of moto, and are making MX boots for two former world supercross champs, James "Bubba" Stewart and Ryan Dungey. We say, "Just MoreCore it !"

DC Shoe Company

DC Shoes is an American company that specializes in footwear for extreme sports, skateboarding and snowboarding. The company was founded in 1993 by Ken Block and Damon Way, and is based in Vista, California. DC originally stood for "Droors Clothing", but since the sale of Droors Clothing (which is now defunct), DC no longer has ties to Droors and is simply DC Shoes. DC sponsors snowboarders, BMX riders, skateboarders, and more. They have been the ultimate in crossover by maintaining a big presence in skate, but also managing to appeal to the commercial moto customers. This has been done by the viral phenomena, that is Ken Block. Through his popular Gymkhana videos, he has brought DC a whole new audience. The same can be said about action sports legend, Travis Pastrana who is a great ambassador for DC. MoreCore are feeling the love for Block, TP and DC.

Globe

Globe International was established in the 1980s, born out of Hardcore Enterprises an Australia-based company specializing in products that appealed to the skateboard and youth culture markets. Peter and Stephen Hill, along with brother and current Globe International CEO Matt Hill, founded Hardcore in 1984 and it rapidly expanded to become one of the world's largest skateboard distribution companies. At the time, the Hills were professional skateboarders who were unsatisfied with the quality skate products they needed, so they went into business to import US skate products to Australia. The Hills continued to promote skateboarding and wrote two successful books on the subject and became prolific skate film producers. Through constant promotions, tours, contests, video and magazine advertising, Hardcore became a driving force behind the skateboarding explosion during the mid 80's in Australia and New Zealand. Globe sponsor one of the few men to master the double backflip- none other then Cam Sincs Sinclair, as well as new FMX wizard, Jayden Jayo Archer. At 15, Jayo has become the youngest rider in the world to backflip 75ft, he’s got flip combos down and has been landing double flips into the pit and FMX isn’t even his focus. He’s been racing 250cc and is currently sitting 2nd in the championships. MoreCore certainly heart Globe!
